Who we are

Learning Frontier is an open-learning initiative of ACED Works, the public brand of Advanced Concepts in Educational Design LLC, a for-profit business based in Asheville, North Carolina. We are not a nonprofit or a tax-exempt charity.

This notice covers this website and its contact and contribution services. Individual learning experiences, the shop, and commissioned projects may have their own terms.

Copyright & sharing

© 2026 Advanced Concepts in Educational Design LLC. All rights reserved, subject to the permissions below, individual resource licenses, and applicable law.

You may share links to our public experiences and use them as offered for personal learning and classroom activities. Please keep the credits and notices with the resources. Free access does not place our work in the public domain or grant permission to resell it, republish its files, or distribute its source code.

Specific permissions supplied with a resource take precedence. Third-party images, media, software, and other material remain subject to their owners’ rights and applicable licenses. Nothing here limits fair use or other rights provided by law. For additional permissions, contact ACED Works.

Using the experiences

Our resources are designed for education and exploration. Simulations simplify real systems and may contain errors or change as we improve them. They are not professional advice, operational forecasts, or a substitute for qualified judgment in safety-critical situations.

Use the site lawfully. Do not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit harmful material, or misrepresent your identity. Use the contact and contribution forms only if you are an adult authorized to do so.

To the extent permitted by law, the site and its free resources are provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted access, completeness, or suitability for a particular purpose. Nothing in this notice excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Contributions & payments

Voluntary contributions support the development, operation, and sharing of Learning Frontier’s learning experiences by our for-profit business. They do not purchase a product, membership, ownership interest, or a guaranteed future feature. Contributions are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.

Stripe handles checkout. A one-time contribution is charged once. If you choose monthly contributions, your selected amount repeats each month until canceled. Review the amount and frequency before confirming payment.

To request cancellation or help with an incorrect, duplicate, or unauthorized charge, use our contact form or email matt@learningfrontier.org. Include the checkout email and payment date; never send full card details. Refund requests are reviewed individually, subject to applicable law. Canceling future contributions does not automatically refund earlier payments.

Purchases from the Learning Frontier shop are separate transactions governed by the product, license, and purchase terms shown there. Custom work is governed by its written agreement.
