Who this notice covers
Learning Frontier is an initiative of ACED Works, the public brand of Advanced Concepts in Educational Design LLC, based in Asheville, North Carolina. This notice covers learningfrontier.org and its contact and contribution services.
The shop, ACED platform, individual labs, and other linked websites may have different features and privacy practices. Review their notices before using them; this page does not describe all information those services may collect.
When you contact us
We receive the name, email address, optional organization, inquiry topic, and message you submit so we can respond and manage your request. Our shared Learning Frontier email service, hosted at planetlab.learningfrontier.org, uses Resend to deliver your message to our team and send an acknowledgment.
The form also sends request and timing information for spam prevention and duplicate handling. Submitting it does not subscribe you to marketing emails. Please include only what is needed for your request, and do not send payment card details or private student information.
When you contribute
Stripe handles checkout and payment information. We use contribution details, including the amount, frequency, payment status, checkout reference, and email address, to confirm payments, send acknowledgments, and handle related requests. Our email service sends transactional acknowledgments through Resend.
Our own forms do not receive full payment card details; you enter them on Stripe’s checkout. Stripe maintains payment and related records under its own Privacy Policy.
Browsing, cookies & security
You can browse these pages without an account. We do not add advertising pixels or analytics trackers to these pages. Our page scripts do not set cookies or store information in your browser’s local storage.
Hosting and security services process technical information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver pages and protect the site. Our forms use request identifiers and rate limits to reduce abuse and duplicate submissions. Hosting and payment providers may use cookies or similar technologies for their own services.
Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives the technical information needed to deliver them, including your IP address and browser request details. See Google’s explanation. You can control cookies and site data through your browser; blocking some services may affect forms or checkout.
Providers, records & retention
We use service providers for website hosting and security, payment processing, and email delivery. The main website runs on OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure; Stripe and Resend support the services described above. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where these providers operate.
Correspondence may remain in our email systems and delivery providers’ records. Payment and acknowledgment records are maintained through Stripe and our email services. Retention depends on the record, the service, and the need to administer requests, maintain payment records, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or meet legal requirements.
Contact us about a particular record or to request deletion. Some information may need to remain for the purposes above. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the security and rights of visitors and our business.
Students & families
Browsing this directory does not require students to submit personal information or make a contribution. The contact and contribution forms are intended for adults. Parents and teachers should review each linked learning experience’s privacy information before classroom use.
If you believe a child has submitted personal information through these forms, contact us so we can review and address it. Please do not include sensitive student records in that request.
Your choices & questions
For privacy questions or requests to access, correct, or delete your information, email wonder@aced.works or use our contact form. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
